I see the L.I.G.H.T.

Sleeping Giant

Ephesians 5
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. 14 This is why it is said:
“Wake up, sleeper,
    rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”

As children of light we are awakened by the Spirit of God. There is no darkness or anything that is hidden that we cannot see when we ourselves have been exposed to this light. Light chases away the darkness. Darkness brings about fear because of things that are unknown. When you are children of light you don't walk in fear because God guides your every step.

You have been asleep for so long that you have let life pass you by. We are not intended to live a life without purpose. Our lives are designed by the creator of the universe who wants you know Him through his Son. When you wake up from your sleep the light will shine on you and Christ will illuminate his presence through you.

God said, "let their be light" in the beginning and from that point the expectation was that our lives were to shine bright in this world. What keeps the light from shining through us is our disobedience to  the purpose that God would have for our lives. When we disobey his WORD it brings about ignorance and ignorance breeds darkness and darkness brings about fear.

The Apostle Paul, who wrote this letter to the church in Ephesus, is a great example of one who was awakened out of a deep sleep. When he had an encounter with the true and living Christ, it is reported that scales feel from his eyes and he could see. This time his sight was illuminated by the L.I.G.H.T. of Christ. That light was the truth of who God is and what he purposed Paul to do.

Paul found the truth of a resurrected savior. From that point forward, Paul had to Live In God's Holy Truth (L.I.G.H.T.). The light opens the path to purpose. Once we have discovered our purpose we can begin to live the life that God intended for us. When we live that life of thankfulness we continue to walk in the blessings of our inheritance. This inheritance that God spoke over Abraham which said, I will bless you to be a blessing so that your descendants will be blessed to do the same. Be children of light and not darkness.

He is the L.I.G.H.T. of the world and there is no darkness in him. We are his children which means we are bearers of the same light that exposed the darkness at the beginning of creation.
